Ekol becomes the fastest-growing Turkish logistics company in Europe by making investments in 5 different countries in 2012!

Ekol, that first established Ekol Germany in 1996 and bought Ekol Romania, started its operations in Italy last year and continued to grow by opening new facilities one after another in the most important centres of Europe with its investments in Bosnia, France, Greece and Ukraine in 2012.

Italy is a country particularly important for Ekol in two respects. First and foremost, Italy is one of the three most important partners regarding the volume of foreign trade between Turkey and Europe.

"We have always had very lively trade relations with Italy. In recent years, this association has been rapidly increasing as we explore our similar strengths.

In this context, this year we decided to set a clear focus on Italy in terms of international transport. We currently have an office in Trieste and a facility in Modena and we also plan to open two other facilities in Verona and Novara in the coming months. With these new developments and investments, Ekol will be the largest Turkish logistics firm operating in Italy."

Ekol has been leaping forward in Europe further each day since the day it was established and within last year it made €10 million investment in Europe. Ekol that targets to become one of the leading logistic companies in Europe with a record-breaking growth lastly increased its European advance with Ukraine. It bought the majority shares of Komora, one of the leading logistic companies in Ukraine, with a 53% stake.
